Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) 12c Schedulers Are Running Randomly In Cluster Servers (Doc ID 2914573.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 24, 2022

Applies to:

Identity Manager - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) 11.1.2.3 when a Flat File (FF) job is run manually on a node in a cluster, the job is initiated and processed on the same node.
For example, when a FF job is run manually on node1, job is initiated and processed on node1.

In OIM 12.2.1.4 when a FF job is run manually on a node, the job can be initiated and processed randomly on any one of the cluster nodes.
For example when a FF job is run manually on node1, then job can be initiated and processed randomly on either node1 or node 2.

In a 2 node cluster, if the scheduled job is triggered from node1, the scheduling and execution of the job can happen randomly on either node1 or node2.  In the case of jobs that reads data from a Flat File, if the file is placed on node1 and if job execution happens in node2, the job will fail with filenotfound error because the file is not present in node2.

Changes

OIM upgrade from 11.1.2.3 to 12.2.1.4
