Symptoms

CLOSE_WAIT connections remain with Apache Proxy Plugin if KeepAlive is enabled between Plugin and WLS as follows. Each worker process (httpd) holds 6 to 9 CLOSE_WAIT connections.

Note:
This document is written based on Apache MPM worker model, but note that CLOSE_WAIT connections remain regardless of a kind of Apache MPM model (i.e. prefork, worker or event).
