JDBC Driver Version is still Shown as 11.2.0.3.0 After Replacing the ojdbc*.jar from 12.1.0.2 JDBC Driver (Doc ID 2918878.1)

Symptoms

On OAM/WLS 10.3.6 with JDK 1.7 update 351, Following Steps were followed to update the JDBC Driver to 12.1.0.2:

  1. Download JDBC 12.1.0.2 (ojdbc-full.tar.gz ---> ojdbc7.jar) from this note: Oracle Database 12.1, 12.2 JDBC Drivers And UCP Downloads (Doc ID 2847261.1) and replaced the jars under WL_HOME/server/lib and WL_HOME/server/ext/jdbc/oracle/11g folders as per steps from KM Note: How To Update the JDBC and UCP Drivers Bundled with WebLogic Server (Doc ID 1970437.1)
  2. Deployed Application drvtest.war from the KM Note: How to Verify the Oracle JDBC Driver Version for Oracle WebLogic 10.3.x (Doc ID 1160784.1)
  3. Restarted the servers deleting tmp, cache and accessed the url http://host:port/drvtest.  Output from JDBC connection jdbc/oamds is shared below.
