Summary of Issues

Due to issues found after release of Patch 34840232 and 34957122, they have been regressed and new patches are made available. 

OSS BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.4.221228 34840232 conflicts with 34454476

Details: OSS Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.221228 34840232 conflicts with DATABASE PATCH SET UPDATE 12.1.0.2.220719 FOR FMW 34454476

Resolution: A new Patch 35024228 was released on 3 Feb 2023 to address this issue.

Recommendation: As provided in the updated Note 2806740.2, Oracle recommends downloading and applying this latest Patch 35024228 for OSS homes. For this and the latest cumulative security patches, refer to Note 2806740.2. 

OSS 19C BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.4.230107 34957122 conflicts with 33877829

Details: OSS 19C BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.4.230107 PATCH 34957122 CONFLICTS WITH PREVIOUS OSS PATCH 33877829

Resolution: A new Patch 35018518 was released on 3 Feb 2023 to address this issue.

Recommendation: As provided in the updated Note 2921245.1, Oracle recommends downloading and applying this latest Patch 35018518 for OSS homes. For this and the latest cumulative security patches, refer to Note 2806740.2.

Actions

Users should re-download and apply the new <Patch 35024228> (Updated 03-Feb-2023) or apply the new <Patch 35018518> (Updated 03-Feb-2023) following the readme included with the patch.

If one previously applied the original patch without issue, it is recommended to rollback the original patch and apply the new patch using the README.

Note:

On windows OS, rollback DB Patch 34454476 and redownload the patch and apply if the conflict persists.
