Symptoms


Oracle Forms and Reports 12.2.1.4 installation on SLES 15 fails with "Error in invoking target client_sharedlib of makefile".

The make.log file shows the following error details.

usr/bin/make -f ins_rdbms.mk client_sharedlib ORACLE_HOME=<PATH>/bin/genclntsh
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/7/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find /usr/lib64/libpthread_nonshared.a: No such file or directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
genclntsh: Failed to link libclntshcore.so.12.1
