Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 12c Proxy & Load-Balancing

OUD Pass Through Authentication (PTA) to AD fails with error from the access log:

 

Changes

PTA did work on this environment before and no known change on OUD/AD side, other than a restart of OUD due to OS patching. Rolling back the OS patches does not resolve the problem. The AD service account is set to never expire.
