Salesforce 12.2.1.3 Connector: How To Provision Boolean Value To Salesforce (Doc ID 2931293.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer wants to provision a boolean value from Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) to Salesforce.  We have a custom boolean field on the Process Form.  Field is a checkbox in the Process Form.  When we provision values from the OIM to Salesforce, we get following error:

It appears that OIM sends a string, but Salesforce expects the boolean.

How we can transform the string "1" to boolean during provisioning?

The Salesforce connector guide has a chapter about transformation via groovy script.  But Salesforce connector was installed using the legacy Connector Installer (CI) method.  We recently upgraded OIM from 11g to 12c and at the same time upgraded the Salesforce connector from 11g to 12c.  The connector is upgraded to the latest version : 12.2.1.3.1B, so it's using Salesforce Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
