Symptoms

Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 12c returning NullPointerException (NPE) error when running verify-index, rebuild-index or dbtest.

None of those index commands run at all, even when using an un-existing or "bogus" base DN and anything/bogus as the attribute to be indexed, it still fails with the same NPE:

 

Changes

Added another admin account to the admin-backend, however removing this admin user does not resolve the error.
