"Test failed: Illegal char <:>" when connecting to the MDS in newly installed 12.2.1.4 Jdevloper (Doc ID 2933180.1)

Symptoms

When installing version 12.2.1.4 Jdeveloper and trying to connect to the MDS, the next error is seen in the "Edit Database Connection" window:

"Error : Test failed: Illegal char at index 52: *path1*;*path2*;*path3*;*path4*\ojdbc.properties"

*where path1, path2, path3 and path4 are four different directory paths in the customer`s environment.

Changes

A new version of Jdeveloper was installed.
