Information in this document applies to any platform.
The "Portal:portal" component shows as down in the Enterprise Manager Website (EM Website, Application Server Control) while Portal is fully accessible.
When you drill down by clicking on the "Portal:portal" link, you can see that all components are up, except for the Providers, which shows as Unknown.
The problem can occur after several types of configuration changes like:
- Changing the port or DAD of Portal
- Adding a new virtual host or a new middle tier
- Changing the protocol from HTTP to HTTPS
