ESSO Logon Manager Intermittently Fails To Inject Credentials Into Applications Published In Citrix (Doc ID 2937363.1)

Symptoms

ESSO Logon Manager intermittently fails to inject user credentials into applications published in a Citrix application farm..

ESSO-LM does successfully inject the credentials into the application if the user clicks on the "Logon Using ESSO-LM" option from ESSO-LM icon in the Windows System tray on the workstation of Virtual Desktop Image rendered from Citrix. 



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Start a new session to the backend Citrix farm.
  2. Open the windows application in the Citrix web interface. ESSO-LM fails to inject the credentials.
  3. Right click on the ESSO icon in the Windows system tray.
  4. Select "Logon Using ESSO-LM" from the menu. ---> The users credentials are injected into the application logon form.


The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot consistently use ESSO-LM to logon to Citrix applications.
