Purpose

JConsole is a JMX (Java Management Extension) compliant monitoring and management tool that comes with the Java Development Kit (JDK).  JConsole uses the extensive instrumentation of the Java Virtual Machine (Java VM) to provide information about the performance and resource consumption of applications running on the Java platform.

The purpose of this document is to help troubleshoot connection problems when using JConsole.
