WebCenter Portal creates various assets when a Portal is created. You may use the existing assets or modify them to suit your needs or create new assets if needed. Creating and editing a layout is a fairly complex task. To develop a layout (create or modify) in a development tool like JDeveloper, please follow the instructions in the Developing Layouts chapter of Guide to Developing for Oracle WebCenter Portal. You can also develop layouts in WebCenter Portal, however, the editing capabilities are limited. This option , even with limited capabilities, may suit some Developers where quicker deployment is necessary and also is simpler. This document provides details on how to update a seeded 3 column layout to a 6 column layout.
