Can the Sample and Demo Directories be Removed from JDK 1.8 (Doc ID 2950038.1)

Goal

In JDK 8, Java installs samples in the JDK /samples directory. Since WebLogic needs the JDK, is it possible to delete the Demos and Samples included in the JDK?

What Oracle JDK version should be used for WebLogic 14.1.1 which does not have the /samples directory.
