Symptoms


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Public portals require OAM authentication and private portals redirect to the wrong page after applying any of the following the WebCenter Portal Bundle Patches:

 

 


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect you could access public portals without authentication.

And expect to get to the requested page after login when you request a private portal URL.



STEPS

 

The issue can be reproduced as follows:

  1. Start with an instance of WebCenter Portal with Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.22120 or earlier.
     
  2. Test accessing a public portal and confirm you can see the portal without authentication.
     
  3. Test accessing a private portal and confirm you are redirected to the requested portal after login.
     
  4. Apply any of these patches:
     
    • WebCenter Portal Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.230525 (July 2023 Bundle Patch).

       

    • WebCenter Portal Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.230404 (April 2023 Bundle Patch).

       

    • WC Stack Patch Bundle 12.2.1.4.230714 (July 2023 WebCenter Stack Patch Bundle).

       
  5. Test accessing the public portal.
    Now you will be presented with the OAM login page.
     
  6. Test accessing the private portal.
    After login you won't be directed to the expected page.
