Symptoms

With OUD Bundle Patch 12.2.1.4.200827 when the "allow-pre-encoded-passwords" is set to true, and using ldapmodify to manually add an asterisk (*) to the password string in LDIF the userPassword is discovered to be re-encoded.

NOTE: In this use case, the discoverer of this issue was attempting to disable accounts. The correct was to disable an account is to follow the documentation here:
