Servers Started Using startAll.cmd Script fail with Error: "javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed" (Doc ID 2960795.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.4.0 version, WLS Core Components

After applying the latest April SPB and upgrading Java to 1.8 update 371 unable to start the servers when starting the servers via startAll.cmd. Following error is seen:

If the Admin Server was started using startWebLogic.cmd script, Nodemanager was started using startNodemanager.cmd and eventually the Managed Server were started using the combination of Nodemanager and the WLS Admin Console, they would start up without issues. Even starting Managed Servers individually via startManagedWebLogic.sh script was successful.



Changes

 Applied APR 2023 PSU and Java was upgraded to 1.8 update 371
