OUD Becomes Unresponsive when "pwdlastauthtime" is Updated with Access Log Result: ..."The provided value "<date/time>" is not a valid generalized time value because "<value>" is not a valid day specification" (Doc ID 2960852.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 12.2.1.4.221009 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying a Bundle Patch (BP) to Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), 12.2.1.4.221009 version for example, updating pwdlastauthtime causes OUD to become unresponsive to requests.

Replacing ds-cfg-last-login-time-format using Oracle Unified Directory Services Manager (OUDSM) causes OUD to stop serving requests.

Attempts to modify this attribute in OUDSM or command line tools leaves OUD unresponsive to requests.

Example command line modification:

Setting time zone to UTC or GMT (it did not accept SGT for same Singapore timezone as the server) still returns the same error but the day changes to 69 instead of 70, ie 202303690103730.
