ORDS Installation Fails With Error: mismatch with the server cert dn (Doc ID 2961732.1)

ORDS is deployed over tomcat and tomcat is started as Windows services

Symptoms

Issue

Error while connecting to Database while installing ORDS

Error
--------

With BASIC connection, getting

IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection (CONNECTION_ID=...==)
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection (CONNECTION_ID=....==)



With TNS, getting

connection pool named: |default|lo|, encountered an error: mismatch with the server cert dn: io error: the network adapter could not establish
the connection (connection_id=....==)

 

Changes

 New install. Database is in private subnet in Cloud.
 Database has existing connection (tnsnames.ora) defined without TCPS (no ssl in use)
