Propagation On A Query Folder Moves the Files From the Original Folder To The Query Folder
(Doc ID 2962240.1)
Last updated on JULY 19, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When propagating metadata from a query folder, the path of the contents inside the query folder is changed from the original folder to the query folder.
Steps to reproduce:
1- Create a new document profile
2- Create a folder (for example, /Users/weblogic/testfolder)
3- Add new content to the folder using the document profile of step 1 (It's important to switch profile to the new doc profile when adding the content)
4- Create a query folder (for example, /User/weblogic/testQueryFolder, and use the query "Title matches ")
5- On the query folder, propagate metadata values (ie xComments -> test)
6- Check the folder path of the document. It incorrectly changes from testfolder to testQueryFolder.
Note: This can also be replicated by doing a Standard Check-in and changing the xIdcProfile field to a different profile and select a folder to check-in
