Downtime Phase Fails While Applying the July 2023 Identity Management (IDM) Stack Patch Bundle (SPB) 35598010 - "HomeOperationsException: A failure occurred while processing patch: 35557681" (Doc ID 2965082.1)

Symptoms

 While applying the July 2023 IDM SPB for either OIG/OAM/OID/OUD, the command fails during the downtime phase while applying the Weblogic PSU and the Opatch fails with error code 73.

The environment will have OPatch 13.9.4.2.13 as a pre-requisite of applying the July 2023 SPB and the pre-stop phase has been completed successfully.

Below errors can be seen from the logs generated by the SPB utility on <SPB_LOG_DIRECTORY>/myoig_oig_12.2.1.4.230713/binary-patching-xxxx-date-time.log

 

Changes

 Environments are being patched as part of July 2023 CPU, Critical Patch Update (CPU) Patch Advisor for Oracle Fusion Middleware - Updated for July 2023 Document 2806740.2

Oracle Home may contain one of the following inactive patches respective to the version.
12.2.1.4: Patch:33059296 WLS PATCH SET UPDATE 12.2.1.4.210629
14.1.1.0: Patch:34429365 WLS PATCH SET UPDATE 14.1.1.0.220727

Inactive patches can be seen by running OPatch command, 'opatch util ListOrderedInactivePatches'.
