"Document Creation Date" Field Shows as DateTime on the Imaging Search Results Page (Doc ID 2965576.1)

Symptoms

The "Document Creation Date" field can be used as one of searchable field in Imaging Search UI. By default, it is showing as DateTime. Is there an option to make it a "Date" type instead of "DateTime" ?
