Using ODI 12c, the Execution on Oracle Source Fails with Error "Window functions are not allowed for technology XML" (Doc ID 2970242.1)

Symptoms

An Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c Mapping loads data from an Oracle source Datastore, and writes into a target XML file, using "IKM SQL to SQL", and the staging area is set on the source.

While the execution of above succeeds in ODI 11g, the following error is received in ODI 12c when executing the same:

The Mapping attribute facing the error uses the following Window Function, which is executed on the source Oracle technology:

rank() over (partition by ... order by ...)
