OdiSftpGet Tool Step Fails with Error "java.lang.NullPointerException" (Doc ID 2972066.1)

Symptoms

Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4.220702 with a JEE Agent. The OdiSftpGet tool step in a package started to fail after many months where no issues were encountered.

The environment was not modified in any way, nor were there any patches applied when the issue started to occur. The OdiSftpGet step fails consistently in any package.
Using the sftp command on command line works without issues to get the same files.


The following error is seen in the session execution log:

 


Restart of the agent does not resolve the issue.
