TNS Timeout Error Received While Trying to Debug Stored Procedure Using SQLDeveloper
(Doc ID 2972545.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle SQL Developer - Version 19.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
While trying to debug the execution of some stored procedure, a timeout is received while attempting the connection to the server:
<IP_ADDRESS> is the client machine address, and <PORT_NUMBER> is a number in the range configured to be used by SQLDeveloper.
Connection to the database works without problems, but using the standard DB port (usually 1521). The local machine was added to the "Access Control List" as required for debugging. Still, the problem remains.
