Agent Fails on ODI on MP Instance Provisioned with 'Existing Repository' Option (Doc ID 2977635.1)

Symptoms

A new Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) on Marketplace (MP) instance was provisioned successfully. At provisioning, the option to connect to an existing repository was selected. There are no issues with connecting to the instance, and login to ODI Studio works as well. Also, load plans and scenarios are seen as expected. However, the out-of-box ODI on MP Jetty agent fails with the following error:
