Webservice Special Character "&lt⁢" in Payload Fail with HTTP Response 500 "signature failed to validate" (Doc ID 2978525.1)

Symptoms

  1. When no escaped character are used on the request payload, then the request is successfully verified and validated on the WebLogic server and then passed the request to the web service endpoint.
  2.  When the request message contain "<" character, the WebLogic is failing on signature validation with error:  The request is not reaching the web service endpoint.

Changes

 The new application is processing XMLs which should respect AIXM 5.1 specificationsParticularly there are some elements which should comply with some characters patterns including "<"
