Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Manager - Version 12.2.1.4.230408 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) product is containerized, but sometimes there is a need to run utilities in a helper pod inside Kubernetes, where the pod itself is created from the oig_cpu image, yet the default Oracle provided image may be lacking certain library packages or utilities. Such as when attempting to run the ua utility.

Scope

We have an existing document, which has steps for adding missing rpm packages needed for the Design Console and it uses docker, <Document 2753402.1> Running the OIG Design Console from the Provided OIG Container IMAGE.

For those without the ability to use docker, this with cover the podman / buildah steps to add missing libraries to the oig_cpu container image.
