Symptoms
You are using SQL Developer version 23.1 to connect to MySQL or My SQL Server database. Connection creation and saving it with "password" is fine.
Once saved connection is used to connect to intended database, Following errors occurs.
access denied message (vendor code 1405).
This issue is seen only for third party JDBC drivers in use and only when passwords are saved.
When password are provided at time of connection ( not saved) , connections gets established
