Purpose
In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c, Knowledge Modules can be either marked as "Oracle Genuine" (aka "out-of-box") or "Modified by User" (aka "customized").
What is the expected behavior for upgrading Knowledge Modules (KMs) ?
- Are customized KMs used in Mappings upgraded to the version of the out-of-box KM when running the upgrade assistant (UA) ?
- Also, when mappings are upgraded during smart import, will this also upgrade the associated KMs ?
- What are the circumstances for KMs to upgrade or not during smart import and / or ua ?
- What about scenarios? Upon upgrade, is the new version of the KM automatically used in the upgraded scenario?
- If a KM was not upgraded, how to refresh it at a later time?
