Getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.facelets.rich.InputSearchHandler in SOA Domain. (Doc ID 2983733.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The latest ADF bundle patch is applied to a SOA environment that has been migrated from 12.2.1.3 to 12.2.1.4.
This environment has Oracle Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance installed.

The GRC application will not start in this environment.

The following error is seen in the log:

weblogic.application.ModuleException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.facelets.rich.InputSearchHandler
at weblogic.application.internal.ExtensibleModuleWrapper.start(ExtensibleModuleWrapper.java:140)
at weblogic.application.internal.flow.ModuleListenerInvoker.start(ModuleListenerInvoker.java:124)
at weblogic.application.internal.flow.ModuleStateDriver$3.next(ModuleStateDriver.java:233)
at weblogic.application.internal.flow.ModuleStateDriver$3.next(ModuleStateDriver.java:228)

Once the bundle patch was rolled back, it was possible to start the deployed application successfully

How can this problem be overcome?
