Symptoms

When attempting to apply WebLogic Server (WLS) Stack Patch Bundle (SPB) for Oct 2023, following error occurs.

The spbat output shows:



This issue can be seen when using spbat utility or napply, depending on the ordering of application and rollbacks.

Changes

After July 2023 CPU patches were applied, the result contains Patch 23335292 applied.

Before the SPB for Oct 2023 is applied, OPatch was manually upgraded from 13.9.4.2.13 to 13.9.4.2.14.

This leads to an OPatch version of 13.9.4.2.14 and Patch 23335292 applied.
