Oracle Internet Directory (OID) bulkload fails with:
For more details, refer bulkload.log*
As indicated above, there were errors during the load of data. This will leave the OID directory content in inconsistent state.
Hence, it is highly recommended that you use the bulkload -recover option to restore the OID directory content to the pre-bulkload state.
If you choose not to use the recover option of bulkload now, then you must restore the OID Database from a backup taken prior to this bulkload invocation so that the Directory content is restored to the pre-bulkload state.
The following prompt will help you to recover the OID Directory content to pre-bulkload state:
Do you want to continue with recover option?(y/n)[y]
Note: Be sure to answer "y" to the above prompt to recover OID to the previous condition.
The <domain home>/tools/OID/logs/bulkload.log shows the following corresponding error (before the recover operations):
A dn.bad is also generated listing the bad dn's, with the same number of entries as shown above, e.g. in this case, 186 entries.
The same ldif file was used successfully before in a different system so there are no issues with the entries in the file or with the ldif file itself.
