Forms sessions are dropped intermittently in a Forms environment. OC4J is configured with multiple islands for load balancing. The application.log shows FRM-93000 errors and there are no specific errors in the HTTP Server access_log or error_log.

Symptoms

Forms sessions belonging to one or more OC4J islands get dropped intermittently. The forms runtime process crashes and terminates the forms session.  After a period of time, the OC4J islands stabilize and the forms sessions work without disconnections. OC4J itself does not die or get restarted. Long running reports are invoked from forms using web.show_document.  The reports execution time exceeds the timeout value in httpd.conf.

After increasing the LogLevel directive in httpd.conf file to "debug", the following errors can be seen in the error_log:

MOD_OC4J_0086: Failed to call recv() to receive a message from oc4j and error code is 10060.
