Details

Various locations to download software can be confusing.  However, now there is one place to download the latest, supported versions of Oracle software.  This articles explains the process for how to download Imaging, Capture, and Forms Recognition software, but it can be used for all supported Oracle products.

Note: Both WebCenter Content: Imaging and WebCenter Enterprise Capture are located within the WebCenter Content bundle.

 

Actions

All supported versions of WebCenter products can be obtained by following these steps:

1) Log in to https://edelivery.oracle.com, also known as Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

2) Select a Category, if you wish.  This can be helpful to narrow down search results.

Difference between a "Download Package" vs "Release":

A Download Package (DLP) is a collection of related Releases which Oracle has bundled together for customers, whereas a Release (REL) is a specific version of new functionality of a product. Releases are presented in the download screen in a granular fashion while Download Packages will display relevant Release information and additional resources.
For example, if downloading "Imaging" DLP, this will also download WebCenter Content, Coherence, SOA Suite, and WebLogic Server software.

3) In the Search text box, enter "Oracle WebCenter Imaging", "Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture", "Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition", or the name of the software being downloaded.  Entering shorted names like "imaging" will return all 10g, 11g, and 12c releases.

4) Select "Search".

5) Results include a list of all supported versions, by REL (Release) or by DLP (Download Package). 

6) Once the version is selected, it will move to the cart.

7) Select "View Items" to view your cart, or just "Continue" to download the item(s).

8) After selecting "Continue", make sure to select the "Platform" for that product.  Click "Continue".

9) Review the Oracle License Agreement, then check the box, and select "Continue".

10) At this point, you will be presented with everything that will download. De-select anything not needed, else click "Download".

11) Locate your downloads folder and notice there is an exe file called "Oracle_SSN_DLM_<data>". This is the Oracle Download Manager software.

12) Double-click the exe file to open the Oracle Download Manager.  This will allow you to direct the software to a specific folder.

11) Click "Next".

12) The software will download.
