[Java SE] Java Applications on macOS 14.4 Apple Silicon Systems Terminate Unexpectedly (Doc ID 3010667.1)

Purpose

This document describes an issue with the 14.4 update to macOS 14 Sonoma that causes some Java applications on Apple silicon systems (M1/M2/M3) to terminate unexpectedly. The issue is not present on Intel-based systems. The issue affects all supported Java versions.

The issue is fixed in macOS 14.4.1 and later versions.
