Elasticsearch Returns EL Expressions Added to HTML Markup Components in Pages (Doc ID 3013840.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

EL expressions added to HTML Markup components in pages are returned by Elasticsearch in search results.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect EL expressions to not show in search results.

STEPS

  1. Create a portal.
     
  2. Add a page.
     
  3. Add an "HTML Markup" component.
     
  4. Edit the "Display options" for the "HTML Markup" component.
     
  5. Add an EL expression and save changes.
     
  6. Save and publish the page.
     
  7. Rebuild the page index.
     
  8. Search for some of the text from the page.
    Here the search results show the EL expression.
