ORA-12154 Error in Database Connection from Forms (Doc ID 3015900.1)

Symptoms

Forms application is starting successfully, SSO is being used and the credentials are entered successfully, but then those credentials are used to perform an automated connection to the database.

However, at that point an error is reported:

If credentials are entered in the popup, the connection works, but this is not the expected way it should happen.

It is noted that in the popup, the username field is populated, and the service name field includes some of the characters from the password.

Due to this issue, users cannot run the application.
