How To Work Around Timeout Error For Standalone Report Servers When Using "opmnctl stopall" (Doc ID 302278.1)

When having more than two standalone reports server integrated with OPMN and when trying to stop the entire mid-tier with "opmnctl stopall" command then those reports server wont be stopped gracefully and they are shut down by opmnctl by force.


--> Process (pid=XXXXX)
time out while waiting for a managed process to stop

ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/<Reports Server Name>~1

opmnctl: graceful stop of processes failed, trying forceful shutdown...



Now, the entire mid-tier is stopped.

The goal of this document is to work around this problem, because it can take quite some time before the reports servers are shut down.
