Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document provides a list of common tasks performed while managing certificates stored in KSS (Keystores Services).

Weblogic provides 2 basic ways of certificate/keystore management: JKS-based and KSS-based. The way to determine what system a domain is using is by checking in the WLS Console: Environment - Servers - <server_name> - Keystores.

Most Fusion Middleware 12c products running on Weblogic use KSS, which is a database-based keystore and certificate management system implemented as part of the Oracle Platform for Security services (OPSS).
