Symptoms
Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), attempting to save a Reusable Mapping's (RUE) dataset details results in the following error message:
This issue only occurs when the reusable mapping is opened from another mapping inside a package. When the RUE is opened directly from the project tree in ODI Studio Designer, the issue does not occur.
To reproduce:
- Create a reusable mapping that has a dataset.
- Create a mapping and use the RUE in this mapping, save.
- Edit the mapping.
- From within the mapping, double-click or right-click the RUE to open it.
- Attempt to change the name of the dataset in the RUE.
The same error occurs when attempting to save the RUE after renaming or removing the dataset, or adding in another model.
