ERROR ORA-06521 / ORA-01756 When Using DBMS_LDAP Package (Doc ID 303296.1)

Symptoms

1) Gets the following error when executing a pl/sql procedure written using DBMS_LDAP APIs

ORA-06521: PL/SQL: Error mapping function
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LDAP_API_FFI", line 0
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LDAP", line 1338
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LDAP", line 1273
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LDAP", line 529
ORA-06512: at line 108

All the DBMS_LDAP packages ( DBMS_LDAP, DBMS_LDAP_UTL,DBMS_LDAP_API_FFI) exist under SYS schema and all are VALID.

 

2) Another symptom

ERROR:
ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminated

Also, missing following in the schema

DBMS_LDAP.init
DBMA_LDAP.open_ssl
DBMS_LDAP.simple_bind_s
