Primary Note for Addressing Common Problems During JDeveloper Startup (Doc ID 3035717.1)

Purpose

This note provides general information about how to deal with common problems when starting JDeveloper.

Scope

This note covers the most common issues reported to Support about JDeveloper startup. It will describe the main issues seen at this point, specially during the first execution after install or after a patch has been applied.

Oracle recommends using the latest version of the product, along with the latest Bundle Patch available. For details about ADF Bundle Patches, please check <Note 2659387.1> "ADF Bundle Patches for 12.2.1.3.0 and 12.2.1.4.0"

Be aware that after applying the most recent Bundle Patches, JDeveloper needs to be started with the option "-clean", as documented in the above note.
