Symptoms

Environment
Reports 12.2.1.19.0
Windows 2019

Problem
Reports run to PDF format are not well formatted.

PDF subsetting is set up per:

How to Use Font Subsetting in Reports for PDF Output (Document ID 207711.1)

When looking at the PDF output font properties (File --> Document Properties --> Fonts), it shows some of the fonts are not being subsetted.

For Example:

Report uses these fonts:

1. Install the above TTF fonts in C:\Windows\Fonts.

2. Place all TTF Files under: <DOMAIN_HOME>\reports\fonts directory.

3. Add <DOMAIN_HOME>\reports\fonts directory to REPORTS_PATH in registry.

4. Modify uifont.ali and place it under:

%ORACLE_HOME%\tools\common
%DOMAIN_HOME%\config\fmwconfig\components\ReportsToolsComponent\reptool1\tools\common
%DOMAIN_HOME%\config\fmwconfig\components\ReportsToolsComponent\reptool1\guicommon\tk\admin

Keep in mind this note:
On Windows Platform, the In-Process Reports Server Reads Uifont.ali From Incorrect Directory in Version 11g/12c (Document ID 965582.1)

Uifont.ali modifications done:
- Comment out all fonts under [Global] section.
- Include the following under [PDF:Subset] :

7. Check PDF output file. All 4 fonts should be subsetted correctly. However, the PDF output font properties show only Arial and Microsoft San Serif fonts being subsetted:

The Prestige Elite and 3of9 Barcode fonts are not recognized.
