SSO Seems Not Working When Trying To Download A WebCenter Content (UCM) Document From A Hyperlink Inside A MS Office Report (Doc ID 3050337.1)

Goal

The customer is trying to download an attachment from the below Microsoft Office report hyperlink:

https://<pod_name>.fa.<data_center>.oraclecloud.com/cs/idcplg?IdcService=GET_FILE&dID=<dID>&dDocName=<dDocName>&allowInterrupt=1

and he is redirected to the logon page URL:

https://<pod_name>.fa.<data_center>.oraclecloud.com/adfAuthentication?login=true

without downloading the attachment.

 

If the user paste the same URL:

https://<pod_name>.fa.<data_center>.oraclecloud.com/cs/idcplg?IdcService=GET_FILE&dID=<dID>&dDocName=<dDocName>&allowInterrupt=1

directly into the browser, after a previous one time SSO login (authentication), the attachment downloads successfully.

Some customers have asked why the same link in the browser keeps the SSO session and from a report hyperlink does not keep the SSO session.
