When Term Is Discarded In A Workflow Enabled Glossary, The History Tab Doesn't Register Such Action (Doc ID 3051089.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 02, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Metadata Management - Version 12.2.1.5 to 12.2.1.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When a term is Discarded in a Workflow Enabled glossary, the History tab (previously called Audit Log) doesn't register such action. Instead, you see a "Workflow transition to Published" which is the same message that appears when a term actually was published. To reproduce this issue:
1. In a Workflow Enabled glossary, set a Term to Draft
2. Discard the Term
3. Go to History tab
4. You will see two messages: "Workflow transition to Draft" and "Workflow transition to Published"
The expected outcome would be to read some message stating that the term was Discarded to differentiate the operation from an actual Publishing
