Standalone Reports Server Fails to Start Due to Error ORA-01017 After Applying Some Patches (Doc ID 3068460.1)

Symptoms

After applying some patches, the standalone Reports Server no longer starts. The same issue is also encountered with a newly created Standalone Reports server.

Upon reviewing the log for the Reports Server ($DOMAIN_HOME/servers/<REPORTS SERVER NAME>/<REPORTS SERVER NAME>.out), you find the following error is raised:


Steps to reproduce:

1. Apply some patches, in this case, OPatch and WLS patch (36805124).

2. Start the Node Manager and AdminServer.

3. Start the WLS_REPORTS managed server.

4. Start the standalone Reports Server using the script startComponent <REPORTS SERVER NAME>
