Reports Builder 12.2.1.19 Crashes When Opening the Data Model (Doc ID 3074974.1)

Symptoms

When opening a report in the 12.2.1.19 Reports Builder/Data Model/Report Editor, the Builder is crashing.
This issue did not occur in version 12.2.1.4.0.

<Document:1395965.1> ALERT : 64-Bit Reports Builder 11gR2 (11.1.2) and 12c Problems on 64-bit Windows Operating Systems lists two workarounds for the Data Model crash issue.
The first workaround (2. a.)  is working for 12.2.1.19:

2.a. After starting Reports Builder, first use "File -> New -> Report -> Build a new report manually" (OR to save time set the "Welcome to Reports Builder
Dialog" to pop up just select "Build a new report manually"
[Edit->Preferences->Wizards(tab)->Welcome Dialog]), which will bring up a new report. Then, you can close this new report immediately. This effectively
workarounds the first problem, from now on you can open Data Model or Web Source for other reports as well. This workaround has to be repeated every
time the Reports Builder is opened.

The second workaround (2.b) is not working for 12.2.1.19.

2.b. The second workaround is to modify the following file manually :

<ORACLE_INSTANCE>\config\FRComponent\frcommon\TOOLS\admin\cauprefs.ora

The second workaround applies to all the reports and requires one single change.

Changes

Upgraded to version 12.2.1.19.
