Information in this document applies to any platform.Symptoms

The objective is to integrate and manage multiple Report Servers via OPMN.

After issuing "opmnctl startall" or  after starting the OPMN ProcessManager service (on MS Windows) the status of all of some of the Report Servers shows "Down". For example:

opmnctl status

Processes in Instance: <INSTANCE>.<HOST.DOMAIN>
-------------------+--------------------+-------+---------
ias-component      | process-type       |   pid | status
-------------------+--------------------+-------+---------
reptest6           | ReportsServer      |  3092 | Down
reptest5           | ReportsServer      |  2412 | Down
reptest4           | ReportsServer      |  4224 | Down
reptest3           | ReportsServer      |  4176 | Down
reptest2           | ReportsServer      |  3876 | Down
reptest1           | ReportsServer      |  3144 | Down
reptest            | ReportsServer      |  2968 | Down
OC4J               | OC4J_BI_Forms      |  4144 | Alive
OC4J               | home               |  2096 | Alive
WebCache           | WebCacheAdmin      |  4124 | Alive
WebCache           | WebCache           |  2432 | Alive
HTTP_Server        | HTTP_Server        |   548 | Alive
dcm-daemon         | dcm-daemon         |   N/A | Alive
LogLoader          | logloaderd         |   N/A | Alive

Similarly the status shown by AS / EM Console indicates that the Report Server has not been started successfully.

The status information given by AS / EM Console and OPMN is correct as no requests can be run against any of the Report Servers.

The Report Servers start up successfully if started up individually using the opmnctl or rwserver commands  e.g.

opmnctl startproc ias-component=reptest

or

rwserver server=reptest
