Configuration Assistant OPMN Configuration Assistant Fails to start HTTP Server on Solaris 10 (Doc ID 332841.1)

Symptoms

An installation of OracleAS10g Release 2 (10.1.2.x.x) on Solaris 10  hangs at  the OPMN Configuration Assistant with a failure to start HTTP Server  The following error is logged in the installActions.log file:

Launched configuration assistant 'OPMN Configuration Assistant'
Tool type is: Recommended.
The command being spawned is: '/opt/oc4j/opmn/bin/opmnctl startall'
